Teacake Bakeshop

July 1, 2015
The Shut-Up-and-Give-it-to-Me-Quick Version:
Winner.
The cupcakes are always tasty and consistent. The I-Like-to-be-Wrapped-Up-in-All-the-Details Version:

A small bakeshop offering cupcakes, cookies, brownies and other sweet treats. At the boom of the cupcake era, Teacake Bakeshop also had a location in Corte Madera (much closer to me – now occupied by Kitchener Collective), but are now only at the Bay Street Emeryville mall. Their location is always clean and the staff is nice. They have a variety of flavors and are usually well stocked.

Hours
Sun – Wed 11 am – 8 pm
Thurs – Sat 11 am – 9 pm

What I ordered:

  • Pink velvet cupcake ($3.25)

The only difference between this cupcake and a red velvet is that they use pink food dye, but the taste is exactly the same. Their cupcakes are always moist, a little crumbly and the frosting is never hard. The cupcakes are flavorful and always fresh.
