Taps

November 19, 2014

I was introduced to Taps a few years ago and to this day it is one of the few things that makes the traffic to Petaluma seem worth it.

The Shut-Up-and-Give-it-to-Me-Quick Version:

Winner.
Excellent wings and beer, need I say more?

The I-Like-to-be-Wrapped-Up-in-All-the-Details Version:

At the beginning of this year, Taps moved to a new location on Washington Street overlooking the Petaluma River. The new place suits them better and provides a nicer ambience. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating replete with picnic tables and a jumbo Jenga set. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable.

Taps is a guys dream… one that women don’t mind fulfilling. They have 39 beers on tap (from all over the world). Even I can find something! I say this because beer is last on my list of alcoholic beverages that I indulge in, but they have this strawberry beer that is just girly enough to satisfy my needs.

What I ate:

  • Stage 1 hot wings ($7.95)

Thoughts? The wings never disappoint! You have options as to how spicy you want them (stage 1 to stage 3). I have tried stage 1 and 2, but since I’m a baby, I only ever order stage 1. They come with 10 wings, a few celery and carrot sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing. They are never fatty, perfectly doused in sauce, spicy and always filling! Their wings are some of the best I’ve tried.

The atmosphere, the wings and the beer always make taps a go-to spot. It is the main reason that you will find me Petaluma.
