Naked Chorizo

The Shut-Up-and-Give-it-to-Me-Quick Version:

Good not great.
The idea was great, but it lacked the wow factor.

The I-Like-to-be-Wrapped-Up-in-All-the-Details Version:

Last month at the Treasure Island Flea Market I decided to order from Naked Chorizo. This food truck’s location can be found on their twitter page.

What I ate:

  • Filipino “Naked Chorizo” slider (3 for $9)

I love chorizo! Seriously anything with chorizo… cheese, meat, eggs, you name it. When I saw the Naked Chorizo food truck I was super excited. The sliders had chorizo, shallots, crispy fried shrimp, carrots and pickles, served with a garlic house vinaigrette. The vinaigrette tasted like pure white vinegar and while the sandwiches were good, they were a bit dry and underwhelming. While this had a lot of potential I think I’ll be trying another food truck next time.
