The Shut-Up-and-Give-it-to-Me-Quick Version:
Good not great. (Borderline Waste of Ingredients)
As I expected this place is WAY over-hyped. The ice cream was good, but the macaron sandwiches were not.The I-Like-to-be-Wrapped-Up-in-All-the-Details Version:Okay, the truth is even though I lived in LA most my life (until college) I have never been to Milk. Partly because I wasn’t eager and partly because it felt like one of those trendy places with no substance. From even before The Hills (yes, it was my guilty pleasure), this place has had a following and you will still encounter out-the-door lines. They offer ice cream, shakes, ice-cream sandwiches, entrees, salads, sandwiches and baked goods. The place is rather small , but boasts a few tables both inside and out.

The ice cream in both sandwiches were good, but the cookie part was too sweet and on the cookies and cream sandwich, it was SO hard. For being one of their signature items, an inedible cookie that completely missed the mark on taste was not what I expected. I will not be returning because I have no desire to wait in line for mediocre-ness. While San Francisco has Los Angeles beat on places to go for sweets, I’d like to think there are places MUCH better than this.
