Orgasmic.
Amazing grilled cheese!

The I-Like-to-be-Wrapped-Up-in-All-the-Details Version:

Yesterday I needed lunch (I was out all day Sunday and cooking late at night so I could have lunch the next day was NOT going to happen) so I decided to grab some grilled cheese from Hog Island Oyster. I was not really up for dealing with the crowds so I decided to order mine to go (you can only order their grilled cheese or po boy to go). I found a spot across the street and began to indulge!

Their location is very nice and gives you views of the water so I highly suggest eating in, also the massive line that always forms outside goes quickly so don’t be intimidated.

Hours
Mon – Sun  11 am – 9 pm

What I ate:

  • Grilled cheese ($12)

All hail the grilled cheese! Is this even real?!? Look at that cheese! It comes with 4 of those triangular pieces – served piping hot with pickled vegetables. I definitely recommend that you eat it that hot because as it cools down the cheese gets hard. My first bite was heaven – heaven filled with 3 different cheeses sandwiched between great bread!!! As shown in the picture, the cheese is stringy and perfect! It is a heavy dish so I would recommend ordering that and a clam chowder, grabbing a partner and going to town. The pickled vegetables help add some freshness and a little crunch.I highly recommend this, you won’t be disappointed!
