Everything about b. patisserie is great, the location (tons of natural light), the modern and sophisticated decor and of course, the DELICIOUS desserts.

b. patisserie is an SF staple, it’s the first place that comes to mind when you say bakeries in SF. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is great! While I usually opt to take my treats on the go, I would highly recommend sitting down and chatting over a great dessert. This place just makes me feel fancy, the parisian desserts and sleek design is always a great lead in to the perfection that follows in every bite. Honestly, just do yourself a favor and GO!
What I ate:
- Kouign Amann ($4)
Sometimes my goodie bag includes one of almost everything they have, but the one staple is the kouign amann. I can’t go in there and not buy at least one (and neither should you!). If there is one thing that is a must try, it’s that. I literally cannot explain how great it is, I think the first time I had it, I almost cried. It’s definitely the best kouign amann I have had in the U.S.! The outside is flakey and the inside oozes with sugar and butter. It’s a croissant orgasm (sorry there’s no other way to put it).
This is my go-to anytime somebody from out of town is here… the presentation and the taste always leaves people raving and dying to go back.
